Lord of thE FliEs SumMary

In Lord of the Flies, there are a group of boys that were being evacuated from England whose plane has crashed on a deserted island. As the boys are on the island they begin to realize that they are the only one on the island. They feel free because they have no adults on the island to tell them what to do. But they also realize they need a leader and a hunter for food. They select Ralph and Jack. Jack the head of the choirboys who wants to be the leader. He is made chief of the hunters who chase pigs around with spears. Ralph spends much of his time building shelters to protect the boys, while Jack and his tribe are constantly off hunting for food. Ralph and the boys make a fire so they can be rescue. Ralph is more concerned than ever about their rescue and about keeping the fire going. Ralph gets mad at Jack because Jack is more concerned with hunting than keeping the fire going. Jack begins not to care anymore about anything. Jack breaks away from the group and starts his own tribe at Castle Rock on the other side of the island. Most of the other boys follow him. Only Piggy, Sam, Eric, and some littluns remain with Ralph. Jack killed a pig and the boys begin to go crazy painting there face and feasting. Simon had wonder off into the island while the boys were celebrating jumping around. Simon came back running and the boys mistake him into being a beast and they beat Simon down with clubs and spears until he was dead. Ralph and Piggy felt horrible what happened. Ralph and Jack was no longer buddies and bump heads. So one night Jack and some of his hunters ran through Ralph's camp and they attack the boys, damage the shelters, and stoled Piggy's glasses which they needed to light a fire at there own camp. So Ralph and Piggy went to Castle Rock to get Piggy glasses back because he couldn't see. As they enter Castle Rock Roger who is one of there guards pushes a boulder rock towards Piggy. It crushes and kill him. Ralph begin to run through the forest as Jack hunters look for him. Jack hunters begin to set the forest on fire as Ralph begin to run fast as possible to the beach. Ralph tripped and fell and as he stood up, he seen a officer. The burning trees and smoke attracted the officers to the island. The officer speak to all the British boys and hear about the death with Simon and Piggy. The officer was shock by the evil deed they had cause. All the boys begin to cry but are relieved that they are leaving the island but see the evil ways of mankind they realize.

Letter to the author: William Golding

Hello Mr. Golding, as I read your book Lord of the Flies I found it really interesting that kept me wanting to read more. I wish all books was like that. I like how you catch the reader attention just by the 1-3 pages. The plot of your book was well organize. Just by having a bunch of Britain teens getting onto a plane and being shot down into a tropical island. What made you want to put a group of boys onto in island? It was fascinating to see how the boys will react. You knew the boys would not have no adults on this island and make mother of nature take control of it's own hands. Not to be rude or anything Mr. Golding but do you feel you wrote a good book in your perspective way? During the book i see you choose Ralph as their leader. Then a boy name Jack was in charge of the boys who will hunt food for the entire group. You made Ralph and Jack bump heads at each other I feel because there were both leaders and you wanted them to be in conflict.

Black, white, brown skinned, dark skinned, and light skinned... When see you Mccain campaign its not diverse its really just white. I am glad at the fact he is the 44th president of the United States. People voted for him because they want a change im belive in him. I belive he can make a different on the U.S. Now we look on the brand new side and start over. We have seen the bad for the last few years and now its time for the good. Lets go Obama cOnGrAtUlaTiOns. You have made a different in this society and us American citizens are proud of you...Take over the white house throw a party and bring some ladies pop champion bottles... Then get your drink and your 2 step on, after that walk it out and CRANK THAT OBAMA ya digg...

I feel this is the best book i ever read thus far. I like it a lot. I think the protagonist is Ralph. Because He tries to keep the boys civilized and plans ways to get them rescued. Far as the antagonist will be Jack, who is Ralph's rival. Since he wants to be chief, he breaks away from Ralph to form his own tribe. He turns his group of boys into savage hunters. I don't like Jack at all. He's making things go all wrong. Simon has died. Who's next ?.... Jack tries to take control of everything and be big boss. I like the way Ralph and Piggy sticks together. They are really best friend towards each other and share there thoughts in the book. Piggy just really wants to go home. He is scared and don't like the way things are going. If you haven't read this book you should. I recommend this book to a person who like adventure books and has bad things happening/action.

I'm On chapter 10 Ralph and Piggy are disturbed by Simon's death. Piggy tries to convince Ralph that it was all an accident and that they were not responsible since they were only one around of the event. They are also depressed that only Sam, Eric, and a few littluns are left in their group, the others have joined Jack. Now Jack and his tribe have settle at castle rock to settle Simon's murder.

I'm on chapter 2 Ralph calls another meeting by blowing the conch. Jack joins in by mentioning the pig, and Ralph adds that they need hunters to get meat. Ralph declares that they need to have some rules, and Jack agrees excitedly. Piggy tries to make everyone realize the gravity of their situation, but no one seems prepared to be serious about being stranded on the beautiful island paradise. The boys decide to build a fire signal on the top of the mountain to attract the attention of some passing ship or airplane. Jack snatches Piggy glasses of his face to used as a fire. As I'm reading the book I find that Jack is the antagonist because he wants to be head chief and is Ralph rival. And Ralph is the protagonist because he was elected as the leader and he trying to do the right thing to get off the island.

Man This book is Hot...I like it.It has alot if brutal fatality in it. I like books like this because it excite me and interest me alot.... I cant read boring books that talks about life and other none-sense. I will just not read it...

The books i read need to have some action in it...And the 1st paragraph i read need to catch my attention fast or it will just stay there...

Sooooooo if your in author make BETTER BOOKS THATS FOR ME.....
